This project involved the design, manufacture, and installation of a 3-tonne workshop crane for Tate & Lyle to improve material handling efficiency within their plant workshop. The client required maximum lifting height and travel while working within an existing building layout that only allowed runway supports to be positioned adjacent to four roof columns. To meet this challenge, a bespoke gantry structure was engineered with significant cantilevers, verified through both finite element analysis and hand calculations.
