Its forged safety latch is fully integrated into the hook tip, preventing lateral bending and improving overall durability during lifting operations.

The Cobra hook is equipped with a triple-coiled, corrosion-resistant double-leg spring, ensuring reliable latch operation even in demanding environments. For additional safety, the hook incorporates thickened tips to help prevent improper use, along with integrated gauge marks that allow quick measurement of the hook opening width during inspections.

In true RUD style, the hook features the distinctive gloss pink coating, which also serves as a heat exposure indicator. As temperature increases, the coating permanently changes colour — from pink to beige, then brown, and finally black when temperatures exceed 380 °C — providing a clear visual warning that the component may have been exposed to excessive heat.
