SDFLEX Ladder Lifeline

The SDFLEX Ladder Lifeline is a guided type fall arrester incorporating a tensioned, 8 mm diameter, wire rope as a rigid anchor line. A fall arrest device with a self-locking function, guide facility and shock-absorbing element, connects the user’s full body harness to the anchor line, and allows the wearer to safely ascend and descend a vertical ladder.

SDFLEX Ladder Lifeline conforms to EN 353-1+A1:2017 and to Regulation (EU) 2016/425.

Globestock Safety offers SDFLEX Ladder Lifeline as complete kits to suit ladders up to 10 m, 20 m and 30 m in height. We can also cover longer ladders on request, please enquire. Each kit includes all the necessary components required to install the system onto ladders which are adequately fixed to suitable structures. These components include:

• 1 x fall arrest device*
• 8 mm diameter AISI 316 grade stainless steel wire rope
• Tensioner
• Universal brackets & all fixings to suit the height of the ladder

All components of SDFLEX Ladder Lifeline are manufactured from AISI 316 grade stainless steel to resist corrosion in all environments.

SDFLEX Ladder Lifeline kits are available with optional extension posts to maintain protection during the user’s access and egress from the ladder. They are suitable for both existing, and new ladder installations, including those fitted with hoops or cages. The universal brackets supplied in the kit are suitable for all ladder rungs.

The fall arrest device supplied with each kit, attaches directly to the user’s full body harness and enables the user to smoothly ascend or descend the ladder whilst keeping both hands in contact with the ladder. In the event of a fall, this device will automatically arrest the user’s fall whilst limiting the arrest forces experienced by the user.
