DL Lyons Block

The DL Lyons Block is a two-part rope block system designed for lifting or deviation operations without height or distance limitations, with capacity determined only by rope length. The system comprises an upper block with becket for anchoring point installation and a lower block for load attachment, creating a mechanical advantage device that significantly reduces workload. Available in capacities from 125kg to 500kg WLL with 2 or 3 sheave configurations for diverse lifting requirements.

The DL features non-opening block construction with rotation-free cast iron and nylon sheaves, delivering smooth operation and extended service life. The zinc bichromated coating provides superior corrosion resistance, whilst swivel hooks with safety latches ensure secure attachment and proper positioning. The system delivers ultimate load capacity of 4 times the Working Load Limit, with rope installation achieved by pulling rope ends between bearing flanges and securing at the upper block's becket.

This rope block system excels in applications requiring mechanical advantage for heavy lifting, particularly where height restrictions are not a concern. The dual-block configuration reduces operator effort whilst maintaining high safety standards through proper load distribution between upper suspension and lower load points. Available in nine model variants with either nylon or cast iron sheaves, accommodating rope diameters from 8mm to 12mm for comprehensive lifting solutions.
